How do I add special instructions to my shopping cart?

You can add special instructions to a shopping cart at any time before the order has been submitted.

You can add special instructions to a shopping cart at any time before the order has been submitted. To add special instructions to a new shopping cart, you will click on the shopping cart icon on the right-hand side and then select "Create a new cart". When you click on the Create a new cart option, a pop-up menu is shown with options to edit your P.O. number, name your cart, and type in special instructions. You also have the option to change your shipping method, choose/change your shipping address (Copy/Paste addresses, from your address book, or type one in), add a delivery signature required, and select your method of payment. You will however, need to contact Motor State Support to add new payment options. If you already have a cart made and want to add special instructions to it, you click on the cart you wish to add the instructions to, click on edit your cart info, and then type in our special instructions in the pop-up window at the top and then click the orange update button. NOTE: Special Instructions are a method to communicate to Motor State regarding your order. Any order containing special instructions will be placed on hold until a Motor State sales representative reads your special instructions and takes appropriate action to release the order. Any order being placed on hold runs the risk of shipping delays, especially if the order is placed near the end of the day. After 6pm EST, special instructions will ensure your order does not get shipped until the following business day. Any order that ships to an address other than your default shipping address will have paperwork in the box that DOES NOT contain pricing; there is no need to request this using Special Instructions.
